Perico Sambeat is considered to be one of the best jazz musicians that Spain has ever produced. His impressive discography includes 21 CD's as a leader and almost 100 as a sideman on which great names such as Michael Brecker, Pat Metheny and Kurt Rosenwinkel have appeared. In 2003 he won the prestigious Bird Award at the North Sea Jazz Festival.
