Albert Sanz

Born in 1978 to musical parents, Albert Sanz began teaching himself music at age 14, starting with bass, synth, guitar and finally moving on to the piano.
He attended the conservatory in Valencia, Taller de Músics in Barcelona, and in 2000 he moved to Boston to attend Berklee on a scholarship. He has worked with musicians such as Mark Turner, Chris Cheek, Kurt Rosenwinkel, and Perico Sambeat in both Europe and New York, where he lived between 2002 and 2004. Albert has recorded 6 records as a leader (one of them live in NY with Larry Grenadier, Jeff Ballard and Chris Cheek). His last trio record features Al Foster on Drums and the spanish bassist Javier Colina. He currently resides in Valencia, Spain where he teaches and performs.
