After last years success the Global Music Foundation Jazz Festival returns to PizzaExpress to stage another celebration of music bringing together jazz, latin, blues, world and improvised music, in a dazzling series of concerts, workshops and "after hours" sessions, featuring world- leading Jazz Artists, and showcasing the next generation of stars. This years exceptional gathering features, New York piano giant Bruce Barth, European multi-award winning saxophone star Perico Sambeat, Lithuanian vocalist Viktorija Pilatovic, UK guitar maestros Jim Mullen and Nigel Price, as well as other top UK artists, and many more sensational musical treats from the around the world.
Since 2004 Global Music Foundation has celebrated music making with many great musicians from around the world. Tonight's opening concert will feature this years gathering of world-class artists, in a variety of combinations and formats playing several mini sets. It provides a taste of what is to come during the week's musical festivities.
