Great artists - whatever their medium, whatever their methods - have one thing in common. They can connect with an audience in visceral, vital ways that transcend our usual modes of communication. Alto sax star Bobby Watson possesses that magical connecting ability. His artistic focus enables him to captivate an audience with inventive, alluring improvisations Bobby is best known for his four years with Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, but his distinguished career also includes work with Max Roach, Wynton Marsalis, Betty Carter, and Carlos Santana.

His all-star band features:

  • Bruce Barth - widely considered to be one of finest jazz pianists and composers of his generation. New York City's Village Voice calls him "one of the best pianists in town, period."
  • Duncan Hopkins - aside from his own projects, Duncan has become a popular sideman for a wide variety of artists such as; Dianna Krall, Mark Murphy, Lester Bowie & Kenny Wheeler.
  • Stephen Keogh - member of Bruce Barth Trio 2010 – Present. Member of Charles McPherson Quartet 2009-Present. He is founder director of Global Music Foundation.
